Westerland Road will be closed again for part of the day Tuesday as repairs
continue on the pedway between the Field House and the Aquarena that was
damaged during last week’s storm.

The road will be closed Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. only. The road will
be open to through-traffic during the peak traffic periods in the morning
and late afternoon.

The pedway was damaged last Tuesday during post-tropical storm Leslie.

While there will be no through traffic on Westerland Road today, motorists will be able to access Irwin’s Road (Education Building), Pedagogue’s Close and Parking Lot 3 from Prince Philip Drive.  Elizabeth Avenue access will be available to the Field House parking lot and Lambe’s Lane.

Traffic will not be permitted to drive under the pedway while the road is closed and the Aquarena parking lot will remain closed.
