Karleena Squires is completing a bachelor of technology at Memorial and, like other students, her typical day is spent on-campus. But instead of spending her time in class, most of her day is spent with friends in the QEII Library completing coursework, readings and assignments.

Growing up in Kippens on the island’s west coast, Mr. Tobin entered Memorial’s Faculty of Arts with the security provided by the $20,000 Poole Family scholarship and confident in his choice of French as a major.

Kayla Carroll might be a small-town girl but she’s definitely not living in a lonely world. The native of St. Lunaire-Griquet (approximate population 700) on the Northern Peninsula is a networker extraordinaire.
