Student Development Theory, Services and Programmes in Higher Education

There are three main objectives of this course. The first is to understand the growth and status of Student Affairs in higher education in Canada and the United States. The second, to become familiar with the theoretical base and practice of the Student Affairs and Services profession. The third objective is to integrate empirical knowledge and theoretical propositions within the context of the Student Services role in higher education. Prerequisite(s): Must meet admission requirements to a graduate program in education.
