Women and Law in Canada

This course looks at the interplay between law and women�s lives in Canada. Beginning with an overview of women�s historical status under the law, the course proceeds to look at some of the main legal issues affecting women today, such as equality, reproductive rights, and immigration. The course will provide students with the opportunity to study cases in depth, and it will also provide a solid introduction to feminist legal theory.
